OUTRAGE! Why are RAPISTS currently allowed to Plea Bargain?!

Honestly, this is beyond appalling, universally mortifying and of the most vile, disgusting nature.

Horrifically, in this present day of 2009, Rapists are being allowed to Plea Bargain!

Rapists, yes that's right, RAPISTS!

You know, CRIMINALS who VIOLATE another human being, who look at other souls that God Himself created in His very Own Image...as nothing more than a piece of garbage, a temporary amusement for their sick, evil pursuits of the flesh.

Rapists...the Devil himself on earth, performing the most horrific acts of Hell, permitted to Plea Bargain.

And in which desperately in need of Democracy countries is this occurring?

That's right..right here in our "Land of the Free" built upon "Truth and Justice".

Rapists are Allowed to Plea Bargain = Truth and Justice?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somebody dropped the ball somewhere, BIG TIME and our poor Forefathers are undoubtedly doing back flips in their graves.

So...let's help them out, oh my word, let's just stop this from happening, NOW!

All those FOR Truth and Justice, all those with any sense at all must clearly and loudly say NO PLEA BARGAINING FOR RAPISTS!!!

All those with even the tiniest drop of good in them, please move just one tiny finger now and click on the link below, pick up one single pen and write to Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson.
Congresswoman Halvorson is going to introduce a bill to abolish rapist's rights to plea bargaining, to write a letter in support of this bill please write to Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson's Legislative Director/Counsel at:

Write some others while you're at it as well, PLEAD for no more rapist plea bargains, actively join in this ever so simple pursuit and real change will come...this might be the easiest way to make a difference ever.

Let us all ACT, HOPE and PRAY that the HORRIFIC INSANITY of RAPISTS PLEA BARGAINING is rectified and abolished within the Speed of Light timeframe.  That Truth and Justice within our Land of the Free is restored.

However, until it IS, my "Pledge of Allegiance" is sadly on hold.

For PapAmore, Arend 'Odee' Lenderink, Palliative Care Awareness

For PapAmore...Are You Familiar With Palliative Care?

I want to make a difference for my Dad...
EVERYONE should be Privy to certain Information, regardless of Internet Access and Skills, Physician Communication Ability, Current Ability to Absorb and/or Hear the Information at that moment, etc.

Is it really okay for ANYONE to tell another human being that due to lack of Medical Options that their life is over and THEN to send them out the door without sharing with them VITAL RESOURCES regarding AVAILABLE?!

Without googling Palliative Care and contacting them on our own, my Dad would not even have had a pain relief prescription, he was dying from AML without even a prescription for relief from the intense pain.

I can't change the whole world, but when I have seen my Hero tragically inflicted by the cruel, senseless lack of what should be a required (seemingly, sharing hospice and palliative care resources is currently not mandatory, or so we have been led to believe) distribution of a simple brochure entailing information...that is something easily remedied, imo...

The goal of palliative care is to prevent and relieve suffering and to ensure the best quality of life for patients with serious illness. It is offered simultaneously with all other appropriate medical treatment.

Letter sent out, Please Copy/Paste, Thank-You!

All that my Dad, Arend 'Odee' Lenderink , was told by his Oncologist was that medically he had no more options, he was was then sent on his way with no resources and never informed of Palliative Care, not verbally, not via print materials, no information shared in any form nor matter... http://papamore.blogspot.com/2009/01/for-papamoreare-you-familiar-with.html

The only way that we found out about Palliative Care was through my extensive (and desperate) googling...thus on the internet I discovered Palliative Care, I immediately called the closest Palliative Care facility (St. Mary's Lacks Cancer Center) and they were wonderful, we literally cried tears of relief and comfort as they even set up a house visit at my parent's home the very next morning. (I discovered Palliative Care online 5 days before my Dad died from AML)

They were also the ones to bravely share that contrary to my Father's oncologist (Dr. Amy C. Vanderwoude) 2nd opinions are a good thing, a thing called clinical trials exist, Palliative Care is available, pain medication can be prescribed, introduced us to Hydrea, informed us that my "no options" Father was the healthiest AML patient that they had ever seen, that Hospice is another option, etc.

In an attempt to put a positive spin on this, I would like to (if it is already a policy, all the better, I would so appreciate knowing either way please) somehow help however I might be able towards requiring that oncologist's share Palliative Care information and resources in written form...

Prior to contact with Palliative Care, my Father (my entire Family) was left without ANY options...it was such a dark, scary, horrific time anyway and then to not have any resources or information shared by his oncologist with us...I feel compelled to ensure that others need not go through the additional agony of enforced ignorance as we were instructed to abide by and endured.

More on my Precious Dad, Odee Lenderink, who died from AML on 1/11/09 http://papamore.blogspot.com

Thank You so much for your time and for all that you do...

Please Help Make A Positive Change...For PapAmore...

William (Billy) Smolinski, Monday4 the Missing

William (Billy) Smolinski, Monday4 the Missing

In two days, January 14, William "Billy" Smolinski will be 36 years old.

On August 24, 2004 Billyvanished.

The most comprehensive series of articles about the disappearance of Billy Smolinski is written by Holliston of ZeroGossipand I urge everyone to read all of the entries to get the details of the story from the beginning to the present.

This is a missing person's case that has been convoluted from the very beginning when Waterbury, CT police made the family wait three days before they would take a missing persons report. That was only the start of an uncooperative relationship ultimately leading to the arrest of Billy's mother, Jan, lost DNA samples, and Jan's relentless pursuit of the States Attorney and Governor of CT and contacting the FBI herself to get action.
I just want to let you know if you ask anyone who knew me my life prior to Billy's disappearance, I was quiet, minded my own business and would not challenge. I was forced to either sink or swim and of course I chose the latter.
Had Jan Smolinski not been the consummate mother, never, ever giving it a second thought to do everything in her power to search for her son, this case may have never even been opened. She has tirelessly, day after day, worked this case with tenacity in an effort to get answers about her son. Media outlets, bloggers, and writers have tried to get this story told, but officials and Waterbury in general, for some reason, don't want that.
The media, with the exception of Billy's hometown newspaper, The Waterbury-Republican, has been excellent, Jan said. "I don't know why, but they (the newspaper) washed their hands of Billy. We went to see the state's attorney in Waterbury and asked him for help and his answer to us was 'you care about your son, but no one else does.' I never thought people in authority would ignore situations like this."
Not only has Jan worked daily for Billy, but has given so much of herself to helping others in the same situation with nowhere to get answers. She has not only been instrumental in setting up vigils, making contact with organizations, making a quilt for the missing and speaking engagements, but she has reached out to our congressional leaders to change legislation nationally to benefit how missing persons cases are handled in the future.

This entry has not turned into a spotlight for Billy Smolinski's mother, Jan, but a spotlight on what a family of a missing person often endures. We all want to change that.

Every family of a missing son or daughter, mother or father, sister or brother wants to know that the tragedy they are experiencing is not in vain.

Billy Smolinski will be 36 years old, he is a much loved son, brother and friend. The day he is found and brought home to his family will be the day they will rest their hearts, rest their minds and soothe their souls.

Jan ends all of her correspondence, "Always Hope".

We will always keep the hope alive, and the candle burning .

From Jan Smolinski:
On January 14 Billy would have been celebrating another birthday. This is the fifth birthday that has gone by without him. A senseless act of violence has taken him away. $60,000 is a BIG NUMBER put some dollars in your pocket by coming forward IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT HIS DISAPPEARANCE, it is all yours for the RECOVERY OR RETURN of our son. Happy Birthday Billy we love and miss you. Giving up is NEVER an option no matter how long it takes. 2009 is the year for answers. With God ALL things are possible. EVIL FLOURISHES WHEN GOOD MEN DO NOTHING

Living with AML, any advice, please?

My Dad is 70 years old young, he looks and feels great, there's only one problem...he has AML, Leukemia, and both a try at chemo as well as mylotarg, have not put him into remission...so now? Well, thus the point of this post...

If you've ever read, know, heard, tried of something, please share...

Please don't take on the role of diffusing my "fight" for my Father, this is how I must travel this journey...God understands, my Dad supports me and to be quite honest, that's really all the opinions regarding that matter.

Are you or is anyone that you know familiar with AML? Do you have any contacts in this field? Have you or one of yours ever traveled a similar journey? Could you please take some time to share some tips, advice, resources that you might have learned along the way?

Please don't hesitate to share...

Thank You
